Our uPVC profiles are fully reinforced with steel to make them as strong as possible; high security French door flag hinges cannot be tampered with externally.

Increased French door security can be achieved by installing laminated security glass, this uses a 6mm laminated external glass pane which holds the glass in tact when broken; this eliminates the risk of entry by the glass being broken. At ESG Windows we recommend anti-snap cylinder locks to ensure that the lock barrels cannot be tampered with, anti-snap locks eliminate the weak points of traditional lock barrels.

French doors are characterised as a hinged double door, usually opening outwards with a flying mullion attached to the slave door to give a full width clear opening.

French doors offer a wide opening angle which can be useful for moving large objects or entertaining in the Summer months.

The double doors lock together with 7-point locking including shootbolts which lock into the outer case frame.
